Funding and Payment

Important notice! The govertment has discontinued the ILA project with immediate effect in England. The programme is still running in Scotland and Wales Those who already applied for an ILA number are allowed to use it until December the 7th. We advise you to use it well in advance.

Certain candidates, such as the unemployed or disabled, may be entitled to 100% funding. You should contact us by phone to enquire about this.

Otherwise, U.K and some E.U nationals over 19 may be eligible for a discount of 20% for the FCTBE (or £100 for the Cert. TESOL) through using the Government's Individual Learning Account scheme.

This will make the costs £240 for the FCTBE and £800 for the Cert. TESOL.

Candidates for the FCTBE with an ILA number should pay £165 as the first instalment. The remaining £75 exam fee should be paid within 3 months and not less than one month before the examination. Where candidates successfully introduce another five people to LT&D's FCTBE programme, the examination fee will be paid by LT&D.

Candidates for the FCTBE without an ILA number should pay £225 initially, followed by £75 when they wish to take the exam.

An optional face to face exam preparation session is available at £25 immediately prior to the exam, which will be sat at one of our centres.

Candidates for the Cert. TESOL with an ILA number should pay a £50 deposit to secure a place, with the £750 balance payable on or before the first day of the programme.

Candidates for the Cert. TESOL without an ILA number should pay a £50 deposit with £850 balance payable on or before the first day of the programme.

Cheques should be drawn on a British bank account made payable to 'Languages Training & Development'.
