Training & Development Ltd was formally
incorporated as a limited company in March 1996. Prior to this, key members
of the team had worked together for three years developing the above
programme in several different areas. Their success in delivering the TESOL
course has allowed over 2000 candidates to participate in the programme
without charge and helped the great majority of these to find employment.
Whilst
funding is now less generous than before, it is still possible to obtain
assistance in some circumstances.
In addition
to the TESOL course, LT&D has produced and delivered a new programme
leading to the LCCI Foundation
Certificate in Teaching English for Business Purposes. This is arguably the
most useful addition to the basic TESOL certificate, being highly regarded by
employers who are trying to meet the large and growing demand for business
English classes. This programme has been successfully converted for delivery
over the internet, or by post. This allows LT&D to deliver the programme
at a much-reduced price.

our courses for teachers, LT&D now offers a range of courses for English
learners. See the courses section for details. LT&D's success has been
recognised by many awarding bodies including the UK government through
its funding mechanisms. We are approved by Trinity College London, The City
and Guilds of London Institute and The Oxford, Cambridge and RSA examinations
board. We are members of BATQI.
